I have finally got around to looking at some of the issues from the Early 2000s. Ironically, these have been scanned and were sitting on my hard drive "to be sorted" for about two years! The Essex Naturalist (A Journal of the Essex Field Club) from 1906

Another issue from "The Essex Naturalist" from 1906. This issue is a quarterly scientific journal published by the Essex Field Club at the Essex Museum of Natural History (Stratford, Essex). It focuses on natural history, archaeology, local industry, and fieldwork in Essex. The editor was William Cole, the club’s honorary secretary and curator (title page). The contents include: Club meeting reports A major archaeological paper on Essex, “Red Hills” An article on the straw-plaiting industry Announcements of future exploration work This issue is available from the Internet Archive here .

The Essex Naturalist (Journal of the Essex Field Club) from 1899

No. It's not what you think. This is a scan of the 1899 volume "The Essex Naturalist" from April to September 1899. I picked this up (with a bundle of similar issues) at a car boot. I think this is one of the oldest items I have scanned - I'll pass this (and the others) onto Cambridgeshire Archives when I'm done. The scan is available  here  (via the Internet Archive).

Model Engineer - No 3112 Vol 124 2 March 1961

An issue of "Model Engineer" from the 2nd March 1961. This issue of Model Engineer offers a rich mix of practical workshop guidance, historical engineering insight, and railway interest, reflecting the broad curiosity of the mechanically minded reader in the early 1960s. Railways & Steam Railway enthusiasts are well served with several substantial pieces. The issue continues the Library of Locomotives series with an illustrated article on early British tank engines, focusing on their design evolution and working lives. Another evocative railway feature, “Steam on the Mountain,” describes a journey on one of Europe’s remaining steam-worked mountain railways, combining travel writing with technical and historical commentary.
