I have to say that until I actually found a Video 2000 system in the loft a new house I moved into I had absolutely no idea that the VHS vs Betamax race wasn't just a two-horse race; Philips had a third (and much much MUCH less popular) horse in the race. The original system, along with all the tapes I found with it, went to the BBC's Media City. Not sure what happened to it after that, but it went off and was delivered! Unfortunately, it didn't have any of the original manuals, but it did have photocopies of those manuals, which I have now scanned and are available on the Internet Archive here .
